Today’s episode features world-renowned yoga instructor and author of To Love and Let Go, Rachel Brathen. Also known as Yoga Girl, she is a heart-centered leader who brings the human element of emotion to social media. Becoming who Rachel is today was not without a history of struggle, and she shares with us how her childhood and rebellious teenage years led her to first find meditation, then yoga. This brings us deep into the conversation of finding identity, especially in our teenage years, when we have been influenced by our parent’s traumas and shaped by our communities.   The three of us also explore the interconnectedness between spirituality and business, and how Rachel balances motherhood with maintaining closeness with her husband. We also take a dive into plant medicine, sharing the insights and clearings Rachel gained during her cacao ceremony. Our guests today are Danika Brysha and Billy Haley! Danika is our dear friend and the founder and CEO of Model Meals, as well as a successful model.. Billy is a private chef and the owner of Culinary Recovery Foods. Together, the two toured the United States in 2018 to host The Brunch Series, a workshop style gathering to define and design self-care for each woman in attendance.  Lindsey and Krista had the privilege of attending the series in Boston and were blown away by how Danika’s vulnerability and strength empowered every woman there to take an honest look at where they could be taking better care of their mind, body and spirit.  In our conversation today, we hear from Danika and Billy in the middle of their conscious uncoupling, speaking on how that has been both healthy for their relationship together and incredibly painful at times.. This episode is for those trying to navigate relationships, those struggling to understand loved ones in recovery, for those in relationships where you aren’t sure of the outcome but know you need space, and for human beings who are dying to communicate honestly and openly with those they love most.. We are honored that Danika and Billy  chose our platform to share their experiences and current status   We also talk about: Planning out the Brunch Series Discovering their codependency dynamic Having intuitive hits in the relationship Shame from the past overpowering love from family and friends The importance of doing the work on yourself Mindful masculinity and what it means to Danika and Billy Using energy work and hypnotherapy to heal Recovery steps being applicable to anyone Billy’s relationship with a higher power Having real, honest conversations   Find more to love at almost30podcast.com!   Resources: Learn more: danikabrysha.com ; culinaryrecoverfoods.com Instagram: @danikabrysha ; @culinaryrecovery Read: Codependent No More by Melody Beattie   Upcoming Events: May 30th: Denver with Natalie Miles June 20th: Los Angeles with Bree Melanson Almost 30 Retreat   Sponsors: Chosen Foods | Use code ALMOST30 for 50% off at chosenfoods.com/almost30 Honeybook | Use code ALMOST30 for 50% off the first year of Honeybook at honeybook.com Article | www.article.com/ALMOST30 for $50 off a purchase of $100 or more Calm | Get 25% off a Calm premium subscription at www.calm.com/almost30 Almost 30 is edited by Crate Media

I love these girls and their talk with their guests! My only qualm is that the interviews are much much much more about the guests and their careers than what the title claims the episode is going to be about... which is a major minus from me and something lots of podcasts seem to do, but this podcast is still worth listening to because they are hilarious!
