I'm just starting to listen but this is a great format for beginners that will allow you to understand words from the beginning while still challenging your listening comprehension!

Excellent lessons. Well done! My only comments are: 1) go over new words in a sentence (or at least say what the sentence means). 2) Leave enough time to repeat the words and phrases you use (there's usually enough time after the first time, but never after the second). And finally 3) Speak clearly! Amelie does this perfectly. Her pronunciation is very accommodating. Xavier on the other hand, speaks quickly and does not separate the words from one another. I guess that's how he speaks, but we're students, we need it slower. I suggest reading the second time slower than the first. That would make a world of difference - because a lot of the times, for new students the combination of two adjoining words sounds unfamiliar, while separately - they aren't. Sometimes, breaking up the sentence makes it clear and easy to remember. Thanks! love the podcast! Keep up the great work! Lee.

This is an excellent podcast! This is a great podcast for beginners and those just wanting to review or brush up on their french skills. I've tried a lot and this is very good. Use this podcast in addition to a regular course, or a good audio course (Pimsleur, etc) and you'll get some good practice and build a great vocabulary foundation. Excellent job!!!

I've done the first 3 lessons so far. The combination of the pod cast audio and the .pdf documentation for each lesson on the website works very well. It's like having a personal tutor. They teach conversational French, but they don't forget to teach the proper grammar as well. As someone who has learned several languages (but not French) this is a great tool that gets you results quickly.

I'm living in France right now, so I know that the language presented in this series is real-life French, and that says a lot, since most courses don't teach you the language that is actually spoken. While the podcasts alone are useful, you really want to have the PDFs, too, because they solidify what's presented orally, and contain even more useful information; as a graphic designer, I can attest to the fact that the information is beautifully presented.
