this is extremely sad. She sounds just like my drug addict birth mom (even when she wasn't on drugs). Very paranoid and the fluctuations in her voice and attitude shows the mental waves she has. I'm so thankful my brothers, sister and I were taken from her because she would have done something like this I can say with certainty. So so sad...

Interesting that Kevin's middle name is "Jazreal" which translates to the Hebrew "Jezreel" which means "Gd Scatters" and was what Gd told Hosea to name his first son as a way of prophesying of the massacre of an entire town.

It is possible she was really on amitriptyline for headaches. Its used for migraine prevention at very low doses. It doesn't always work though, as I used it and it didnt really help. While mom is obviously very nuts that at least is possible true that she might not have been on it for depression.

That closing impact statement was so very touching! My heart goes out to this family 😢 They truly have my upmost respect and admiration for their integrity and strength throughout the worst ordeal imaginable. What happened was wrong on so many levels. Its very upsetting and that kind of betrayal is bound to leave its mark. He was so very correct when he said its easier to not trust, I totally understand thhat, but its comforting to hear that they have good people around them that have given them some faith back in humanity as that is such a difficult obstacle to overcome. I wish them my full love and respect in moving forward the best way possible ❤️ Once again, I appreciate the hard work and integrity that goes into putting this show together. Definitely a favoured podcast of mine. Much love from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I'm finding this episode so very helpful. For personal reasons I had to cut ties with my Mother and Grandmother and then additionally anyone who chose to remain in contact with them. It's so very very hard so massive kudos to each of you for coming out the other side with good insight and awareness. Hearing this from figures I hold respect and admiration for has helped, it's hard to verbalise but I think I found it reassuring and comforting to hear the challenges that others faced as a result so I feel a bit more validated in the decisions I too have had to make. I'm from the UK and I still find certain people to be very judgy on those that have walked away from family despite their reasoning. It's all very black and white to some people so thank you for taking a subject and explaining the true gritty reality and grey areas. You are a fantastic podcast and I truly appreciate the hard work that goes into all you do. I do not see this as entertainment at all, but rather a learning opportunity and in turn its helped me process some personal experiences somewhat. As a result of my upbringing I've been left with a deep need to understand why people do the things they do, the paths that lead us there and the trauma/experiences that impact on us, just to name a few so your podcast and insights help me a lot in my quest so truly THANK YOU 🙏🏼

Sarah-Jane Percy And good FOR you Jim C, I love stories of triumph over adversity and you are definitely that good Sir. You seem like such a decent and authentic soul and I am genuinely pleased to know you are in a good place where you are able to help others. People like you are truly invaluable to this world and you need to know that. Heart felt apologies for what you had to endure as a child but it's made you who are which is truly one on a million and I bet your support has saved so many and will continue to do so. Keep being you 🙏🏼❤️😍 SJ from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The moment I heard the post that ended with "The Happy Family" I said he did it! Everything about him seemed to perfect. Reminds me of the movie The Stepfather loosely based on John List.
