when all is said and done and the day is over we're all on the same team so you should rally behind the head coach instead of scrutinizing and putting him under a microscope and picking at everything instead you should encourage and try to uplift a fellow American these are seriously some sad days when people use platforms to put down other people it's the wrong thing you should build people up not beat them down

I wish ppl would stop telling that bullshit story of Vietnam vets getting spit on when they came home. That is a thing that never happened.

Have you all ever seen Madame Secretary? I know she’s not top dog but I think she’s such a believable, remarkable political character. And to see her struggle with being a woman in the white house and around the world, dealing with world leaders (who are almost always men) who talk down to her, don’t take her seriously and have even assaulted her is so interesting and it makes you realize how important that job is and how having hot headed idiots fill that position and handle those relationships recklessly is so so dangerous.

Since slate plus was unveiled it seems like the content for us non payers has become threadbare. It's understandable that you want to make a living off this but instead of additional content for the paying subscribers it seems it's just been taken from what was previously available to all. Will probably be unsubscribing, wish you all the best.

As always the content is great but isn't it about time Virginia stopped using the word 'like' in a grammatically nonsensical way so often. sometimes 3 or 4 times in a sentence! Language is the professional tool of a journalist and to put what amounts to a random word in various places in sentences seems like a childish affectation. My children used to do the same thing but after a chat about how it didn't make sense they stopped the habit in a few weeks. Virginia has been found it for years and it didn't make her sound more 'with it', just a bit daft. keep up the good work.

Andrew Potts so, like, right? arrgghhhh!! i have had to drop several very good podcasts because of these three words used NON-STOP by very smart people, along with my huge pet peeve: upspeak, where speakers end all sentences?, even sentence segments?, with a question sound?. super distracting, way too annoying.

Jonathan Roseland thank you for your comment. i was reading through ther comments since the title and podcast details are vague. I couldn't tell if this was something like that or of it was another one of those group of people trying to convince More people and sell more fake news. Now I won't bother with them and waste my time thank you.

wow. what a let down after the previous edition. this guy uses 400 words where 40 would do, with none of the wit or juice or heart necessary to make me want to listen to him. I am curious now to take a look at his writing.
