I would blame the increase in mental illness on poor health/diet waaaaay before blaming cannabis use.

It seems like this guy has something against THC in general. I personally have used Marijuana for 2 years and not once have I confused my mental illnesses that I'm diognosed with as something caused by my occasional use of weed. It can give you anxiety, and high amounts will certainly mess you up, but it doesn't seem much different than alcohol. I've had friends go to the hospital for alcohol, but never once for taking too much weed. It seems like a lesser evil, but something people should be aware of. News flash, dont abuse substances. No reason to have a panic like this dude.

So something that truly bothers me about this Joe is how this guy talks about the FDA and medicine. As someone that was on medication that does cause psychosis for nerve pain(yes nerve pain) I know this guy is full of shit or severely misled. The drug is called Elavil (I’ll save you the full name). This drug essentially turns you into a zombie. I could be in a conversation, one on one, and completely lose my ability to speak or comprehend the fact I was in a conversation. This is an FDA approved drug, the warning label also states that it causes suicide in people under 25. How can cannabis not be considered medication but a drug that has a direct side effect of suicide is?

This guy is a hack. That Australian study he tried to cite as evidence of how it's bad and the doctor completely deconstructed it instead of the simplistic summary he provided as fact. The debate keeps generalising between high THC substances and general THC and CBD consumables. Clearly very high THC levels in certain products isn't healthy, the same way drinking really high alcohol % isn't healthy, or consuming concentrates of THC or CBD or even those vape liquids isn't healthy. I can accept that the strength of weed strains needs to be controlled, but that can't be done without it being regulated which can only happen when it's legalised.

Alex, you were debating a man who is a doctor. He gave examples of people he treats clinically. Dismissing these patients as "his friends" is extremely disrespectful. You lost all credibility in this debate from beginning. I couldn't trust anything you said. You do a great disservice to your argument when you begin the debate being intellectually dishonest. Please learn to debate properly instead of flinging your poo like a monkey.

I would like to say that I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and I have used marijuana many many times. I have never committed a violent crime or assault ever so idk what it's like for other schizophrenics, but for me marijuana has not had a violent effect on me as a schizophrenic

Ricky Norval I have diagnosed Schizoaffective and have unfortunately had to quit all strands or marijuana as it has become a strong trigger for me in my adult years. I was a heavy smoker until around 26 when it began making the audio hallucinations much more common and more scary yet, harder to defer from reality. I see the benefits for some, however, it has proven best for me to avoid as I haven't been hospitalized since. I wouldn't say I'm better, but it has absolutely been a huge help for me, personally, to avoid.

EnduroYAMI “EnduroYAMImoto” Moto If first time it depends on you is say if just starting no past experience from weed Start with 250 my CBD flower pain 4-1 ratio then do 10 drops under the tongue for about a min or two Wait a hour or so the gauge the effects and if it aniexiity try lower There is no standard dosage of yet but there's no bad side effects at all so then after the start for about a week or so decide if you need more or less or a different my like 500 my it all comes down to you like I said I find a dropper full of 250 my does the trick.

Like usual, ppl argue for their drug and against others. Opiates are a miracle drug. The pennicilin of pain. Been around forever and part of the human condition. Yet all of these guys have thus Nancy Reagan reaction to opiates. They are the only forbidden fruit.

Alex Berenson, you re a fool! Your words hurt my ears... You should shut up, grab your toys, go home, cry in a corner and think of what you said in that book of yours. And you should thank Dr. Michael Hart for luminating your mind.
