Description

DuVernay's Netflix series tells the story of how five black and brown boys, known as the Central Park Five, were manipulated into confessing to a brutal rape they did not commit. 'When They See Us' focuses on the boys' perspective — and the criminal justice system that failed them.

at first I was going to skip this episode, I thought I knew the story and it would be repetitious. Ava says she could cry talking about them, I cry hearing her tell the story. this is so much more than just about a wrong being made right, I feel I've learned a little more about our humanity that seeks justice and truth. we are so challenged even when our president plays in to the contra story displaying not an ounce of compassion or understanding. we are so much better than that, and when we falter we need a real leader that will guide us along a path that helps us know how to love. thank you Terry for developing this story.
