One of my favorite ways to deal with garbage thoughts is by taking the thought and using my hands to crumple it into a ball and then throw it out the front door of my house. Then you close the door and that thought it locked outside

There's a show with Zachary Quinto where he did an experiment with time and stressful situations. Apparently your mind can take in more information during stressful situations. It's a really cool show.

There's a great podcast called Invisibilia that does episodes about things like intrusive and involuntary thoughts, and a lot mre of how the mind works, how to help yourself, and you're not along.

OMG, Kat - my social anxiety is the same as yours. Especially at work. My boss tells me I'm my own worst enemy. It's awful!!!!!! I absolutely hate it!!!! 😭

The stuffiness and nosebleeds are from this very dry air. A humidifier will greatly help you out

Speaking of premonitions, I recall this one time when I was in 1st grade, my teacher, Mrs. Moore, had sat the whole class down in this area reserved for story time. As everyone was getting all settled and seated, I started absentmindedly making the noise that the fire alarm makes, but substantially quieter. Loud enough for Mrs. Moore to tell me to knock it off, though. We were maybe five minutes into story time when the fire alarm went off. Once we were all safely outside, Mrs. Moore asked me how I knew that there was going to be a fire drill that day and stated that she didn't even know there was going to be one. I replied that I didn't know. It was later found out that it was one of the older students, I think a 4th grader (?), that had pulled the fire alarm. This sort of thing would happen frequently when I was a kid, like I'd have a random passing thought of someone I haven't seen in a long time or a song only to shortly thereafter run into that person or hear that song come up on the radio. The fire alarm incident was definitely the most memorable instance, though. This seldom happens to me these days as an adult, but every now and then, it still surprises me.
