Description

After six difficult years, the volatile marriage was over. Joanne felt she had become ‘disposable’, as Lyn had been years before, and feared for her life. She fled back to Sydney, telling friends she was convinced Chris had murdered his first wife. In this episode, you'll hear what Chris Dawson told detectives when he was interviewed in 1991.

Due to Joan mistreating those innocent babies it's hard for me to sympathize with her.

Ken D You can be both a victim and a perpetrator. She was a child who was taken advantage of by someone who was supposed to have her best interests at heart. When abuse occurs, mental growth can be stunted at the age it occurs. But experiencing trauma explains behaviors, it doesn't excuse them. She absolutely deserves empathy and understanding for her experience at Chris's hands. But as she grew older and (self admittedly) realized their relationship was wrong, she could and should have changed her behavior towards Lyn's children.

Ken D it just makes me more angry at Chris, she should never had been put in that situation and no responsible parent would ever have put her in that situation, just shows further what kind of a person Chris was, he wanted what he wanted regardless of the consequences to the people around him, including his children. what a shit dad and man.
