Description

In the early morning hours of February 5th, 2015, a man wearing a mask and black tactical gear burst into the bedroom of Lisa Trubnikova. Eventually, he took the mask off to reveal a familiar face. He wanted the women to know who he was and why he was there.

For years, Lisa had not thought about this man. But he had been doing a lot of thinking about her…

I've noticed you adding a LOT more of your own opinions in your commentary. Always thought it strange...it, at the very least, implies the listener "needs" subjective viewpoints in order to enjoy the stories. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Please, at the very least, bring it back down to the beginning levels.

Having mental Illness doesn't make you a loser but having the ability to recognize that you aren't right and doing nothing about it does. Being introverted doesn't make you a loser either, being a fucking child in a man's body however...this man was a cowardly piece of shit who didn't even have the balls to take his own life but he sure did make her pay. Motherfucker should have gotten the death penalty, he knew exactly what he was doing and it was premeditated. Fuck this guy. Not literally though.

Gee spending your entire life in comic book and video game fantasy worlds leads to antisocial behavior, an inflated sense of self, and sociopathy. Who would have thought?

Josh Shelton video games and comic books absolutely do NOT make one a sociopath. SMH childhood trauma does that.

Part of me can't help feel like this guy is genuinely trying to make sense of and understand his own thinking. Initially I wasn't sure of your approach in air timing the letter with the added dramatics but I kept an open mind and listened on. I don't condone the ramblings of Adrian but there is clearly a mental health issue here. None the less by Adrian being so open and, to his mind, honest this gives listeners and professional a gritty insight into his mind and bizarre rationale. We can learn a lot from trying to understand people and why they are the way they are so we can try and keep them stable and feeling supported. Im suffering with chronic depression and anxiety on a daily basis for 3+ years now and although I don't go around inflicting my pain on others I can say from my heart and soul that it's extremely hard and lonely. There's just not the support out there even if you want it. Every day is such a struggle and that's coming from someone who despite everything tries to remain positive and still believes in the secret. I can only imagine how much harder it must be without having made this connection. It's extremely sad that there are casualties in this process but maybe trying to understand these people who are willing to explore themselves can help society nurture these people before they cross lines. RIP Lisa, Anna and the police officer Gérard... any one of us could have been you. My last thought lies completely with you the victims.

Sarah-Jane Percy Read 'A Course in Miracles'. It's a pathological schematic of the ego and it's separated thought system. If you're into understanding, you'll like it.

having mental illness does not equal being a loser. if he had gotten proper help at an early age this likely wouldn't have happened. someone dropped the ball on this kid and they should bear some of the responsibility too. distorted thoughts are usually able to be mitigated with proper treatment. that's all he needed and that girl would be alive.

Holly Sher Just like winning the lottery, occasionally all the hundreds of connections line up to this. I mean, how many people experience the exact same kinds of lives and live fully functional, law abiding lives? It has to be tens-of-thousands. Our new cultural paradigm encourages loneliness, alone-ness. THIS is the price. Complete self imposed psychosomatic insanity.

This was such a good story when I seen it on the ID channel. They read some of that letter but not all of it. listening to the whole thing makes me see how bad his anti social behavior really was. I thought his religion may have played a factor. he was Muslim and as with all religions they have a way of making people more obsessive when they already tend to be obsessive.

Jane Peal ALL the militant religions establish first, that you are a piece of shit sinner, guilty, shameful. Then they get to "fix" it, with cryptic stories wrapped up in analogy, symbolism, metaphor, allegory...etc. No wonder most lose their shit.

Patrick McIntosh Yeah, because it destroyed his highly invested (emotionally) false perception and creation of her angelic perfection. It's actually a common thought by guys who are "too polite" to fuck. This is where the 45 year old virgins come from. They think they're beyond such "base", "dirty", "animalistic" behaviors. His egotistical, made up illusion of Lisa had to be defended from the real Lisa. Twisted, yup. but pathological and explainable. The ego thought system tries to make lies look like truth. It flips everything 180°. Insane.
