I think I'm going to have to disagree with the Pastor on the point of Islam's God not being the same as Christianity and Judaism. Islam's history includes the prophets mentioned in Judaism and Christianity. Muslims believe in the story of Abraham, where he is ordered to sacrifice his son, which is switched out with an animal. They believe in Jesus, also, except they don't believe he was crucified and resurrected, or that he was the son of God, merely a messenger. They believe instead that God ascended him to the heavens where he lives until the end of times, when he will come back to earth in Jerusalem to fight the Antichrist, known to Muslims as 'Dajjal'. Even the prayer Jews and Muslims do are so similar in terms of what they are saying. I personally just think there is way to much in common between the 3 religions for them to be worshipping anything but the same God. I'd really love to know what you guys think of this. Love the show.

Nisha Hussain Jesus said that He was one with the Father, then went on to say if you don't have the Son you don't have the Father. In other words, claiming divinity and excluding all other gods. Definitely not the same as other religions.

Now I'd love to hear Bishop Robert Barron or Father Mike Schmitz on the Sunday special to discuss these topics from a Catholic perspective :)

Two of my favorite men in one show. I would love to hear them again and hear more of Ben's faith. John did a great job explaining a Christian's role in politics. I really enjoyed it.

This was one of the best Sunday special. However I would have loved to hear Ben's responses to the claims Pastor John made in the last 10-15 minutes of the podcast.

Jeh Jeh I've been a Christian my whole life, I know that Christians believe a lot of things, not just what's limited to J Mac's narrow interpretation.

jack mchogoff funny how you presume to say no one wants to hear a pastor's perspective when he's interviewed by a devout jew...jack is obviously a troll (his name concludes much)

Jaguar Domingo i can agree that he's not a paragon of consistency in some regards. he often speaks of the importance of extending the benefit of the doubt to your opponents, something he does well enough in a debate... not so much on the podcast when opponents aren't present to rebut. if you'd be down to elaborate on his inconsistencies, id be interested. he seems too much of a 1st principles type to be vulnerable to the type of conflict of character u suggest. tho prolly not invulnerable in other ways. if anything I could more quickly imagine him sabotaging himself/career with dogmatic adherence to convictions that don't serve. anyhoo. appreciate the exchange. 🖖🏽

Carolina Sonner I am sorry to hear about your father. I'll pray for his health and your family's peace. I have been to MacArthur's church once while I visited a friend near Anaheim. The campus of the church is impressive and the sanctuary is exquisite. The musical talent in the church is stellar. Hope you enjoy your time visiting his church.
