Another great episode. Got a few laughs about the bad gifts John and Jordan have received. I got some really good ideas about how we can really deliver value via gifting to our stakeholders (custumers, employees, vendors, etc) in our businesses. Reinvesting back in relationships is so critical. Looking forward to getting the worksheet to take some action.

This was one of the few episodes I’ve disliked, so much so that I had to stop and start it a bunch of times to force myself through it. I thought the guest was pretty fake and spouting things that were either common sense, much better said by other JH guests, or ridiculous/ignorant/psychologically dangerous. I felt like that guy had never really faced any adversity and was profoundly ignorant of the societal restrictions on people who are struggling under adverse conditions and the psychological ramifications that come with that. I’m afraid for his ‘clients’ and hope they find a qualified therapist. It’s like the entire conversation was him verbally masturbating through self-promotion, and it sounds like both he and his clients come from an immense place of privilege that they’ve never really ventured outside. Please never again.

A breathe of fresh air from you both on this one. Very important and needed episode. It is so important to uncover a meaning into what we doas there are plenty if we just look for it. A Japanese technique called ikigai fits well with what you are discussing. It basically means connecting what you are good / talented at with the lifestyle you want to live and what the world (locally / globally) needs. I do believe that using your strength in whatever job you are in is important for creating job satisfaction. Thanks a lot, will check out the other deel dives!
