Glad I listened to this Podcast! Now that I've got your attention, you need to look up Survivorship Bias. It is a specific form of selection bias that nullifies this entire podcasts library as its based solely on the perspective of a "success" while disregarding obvious contradictions to its validity. You should probably learn more before making such wide ranging and intensely false statements, because you did happen to get lucky just like I did. Sure I busted my ass to get where I am as I'm sure you think you did as well... but it wouldn't have happened without specific opportunities. Pretending everyone gets the same ones or even decent ones is ignorant at best and shameful lying that glorifies you and shames others at worst. I know a few people who work incredibly hard and take things in stride while learning and pushing forward, but I'm sure they are not where they want to be. Definitely not where they should be if your hypothesis were true considering the work they've put in. pretending that you know the answers because what you did worked for you is incredibly shortsighted and laughably dumb. It's discredited within seconds of reading how to avoid mental traps we didn't/couldn't/shouldn't evolve in our more treacherous past when physical survival trumped(with good reason) being able to suss out complex issues that go against our base instincts like loss aversion, survivorship bias, the halo effect and the backfire effect. Just because something "feels" right or just seems right, that does not mean it's correct. sometimes it means quite the opposite because our minds didn't evolve to maximize efficiency. living+reproducing > any&everything else.
