Description

After the deaths of Josh, Charlie and Braden, West Valley police refocused their investigation on Josh Powell's youngest brother. The mercurial Michael Powell made a play for Josh and Susan Powell's life insurance, ending up entangled in an interpleader lawsuit. During a civil deposition, he lied about his encrypted emails and Facebook snooping with Josh.

For the past three years, investigative reporter Dave Cawley has been studying thousands of police documents, journals, videos and diary entries. He has tracked down new sources, followed new leads and traced Josh Powell's trail from West Valley City, Utah, through Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and on to Washington State, where Powell killed himself and his two sons. Cold is the most complete retelling of the Susan Powell story ever. Join Dave Cawley in his search for truth. Share your thoughts: #ColdPodcast #FindSusan Twitter Instagram Facebook

All information in this case is circumstantial. A person in innocent until proven guilty. Josh may have killed his wife however, the pressure put on that family by police was harrassment. I believe the father killed the daughter in law because he couldn't have her. His MO matches the crime. Josh left, Susan at home passed out. The dad comes in to take advantage and then he killed her because of her rejection of him. Josh guilty of drugging his wife and Micheal guilty helping move the body.

Carrie Marshall-Robinson Or Josh did it and dumped the body on this so called camping trip. And what you call harrassment I call investigsting.

Carrie Marshall-Robinson It is all circumstantial, but people have been convicted on less. One of the things that sticks out in my mind the most is the night Josh says he took the boys camping. He told the police he thought the next day was Sunday and not Monday. But how could he have thought that when Susan had taken the boys to church that morning?

I'm really happy to hear that the 911 dispatcher who spoke with the social worker was reprimanded and now works to fight compassion fatigue in dispatchers!
